The 2002-year group of Anlo Senior High School has organized a “Home coming” programme and donated over 1200 sanitary pads to female students to mark the Menstrual Hygiene Day.
The group named “Elite ANSSOSA 2002” visited the school on Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30, 2026, as part of their 24th anniversary celebration and pledged to build twelve-seater washrooms for the school.
Some of the leaders of the group presented motivational and educational lectures on Entrepreneurship, Education, Health, Security, among others.
The group members also took part in other activities such as football and basketball to effectively interact with the young students and to inspire them.
As part of the activities, the headmaster of the school, Mr. Newman Henry Kwami Dziedzoave and his team handed over the sites for the construction of 6-seater washrooms each for the boys and the girls. The project is expected to be completed in 2027.
The group under the leadership of Mr. Felix Deyegbe, a Physician Assistant at Abor Catholic Hospital, expressed his excitement for coming back to their alma mater after 24 years of leaving the school.
Mr. Deyegbe also encouraged other old students to remember to give back to their former school. And advised the young students across the region to take their studies seriously and eschew deviant behaviors that are detrimental to their progress in life.
Anseco, established in 1959, is one of the best and most disciplined schools in the Volta region. However, the school is in urgent need of a new School bus, beds for the newly built dormitories, well-furnished Library, extra classroom blocks, teachers' accommodations, among others. And there is the need for urgent actions from old students and organizations to support the school.
