As part of the Asogli yam festival celebratioon, the Asogli Anti-Corruption Day Forum was held on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, at the forecourt of the Asogli Palace
The forum was chaired and hosted by His Royal Majesty Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, under the theme:
“Together in Purpose and Integrity, Nurturing Trust and Responsibility for National Development.”
The programme brought together key stakeholders from across the public and private sectors, including personnel from the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, as well as representatives of other state-owned institutions, private organisations and civil society.
The forum featured thought-provoking engagements from Daniel Dormelevo, Chairman of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), and investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni, who addressed issues surrounding corruption, accountability, integrity and the collective responsibility required to strengthen national development.
A significant cultural and educational component of the programme was the inclusion of choral and cultural performances, featuring students and groups from Mawuli School, OLA Senior High School, Mawuko Girls’ Senior High School, Nobody Cultural Group, Ho Bankoe E.P. Church Choir, Kpetoe Church Choir, among others.
Through dialogue, music and cultural expression, the forum highlighted the importance of nurturing integrity, responsibility and ethical leadership, particularly among the younger generation, while reinforcing the shared responsibility of individuals, institutions and communities in the fight against corruption.
