Another Ghanaian is set to break a Guinness World Record in cooking for the longest hours. The cook-a-thon attempt by chef Abdul-Razak Failatu is currently underway in Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana.
Chef Failatu’s attempt for the longest cooking marathon by an individual began on the eve of the New Year 2024 and is to last from January 1 to 5, 2023. She is reported to have already done 31 hours and still counting.
Her aim is to cook for 120 hours nonstop to break the current Guinness cook-a-thon record held by Irish chef Alan Fisher, who cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes.
In an earlier interview sighted by OneForumNews1, she stated that she can make it to about 140 hours. She is currently on the cook-a-thon from the Modern City Hotel in Tamale.
It is obvious that the whole country is behind her like how Afua Asantewaa who sang continuously for over 126 hours breaking the world record.
We wish her all the best and will bring you all reports to the end.
