A 50-year-old car dealer, Kwesi Rahman, has been shot dead in a late-night attack outside his residence at Beach Drive Estate near Tuba in the Ga South Municipality.
According to reports, Mr. Rahman and his wife had just returned from an evening walk at about 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, when an unidentified gunman allegedly emerged and opened fire on them at the entrance to their home.
Mr. Rahman died at the scene after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. His wife was also shot several times and is currently in critical condition at an undisclosed hospital.
Police have launched investigations but have not yet established a motive for the attack or identified the suspect.
The incident has left residents of the estate deeply shaken, with many calling for increased police patrols and improved security in the area.
