A very tragic death is reported in Nigeria of the son of a popular musician, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido. He sadly got drown in his father’s swimming pool when Davido and his newly reunited Baby mama, Chioma Rowland were away for a family gathering.
Ifeanyi Adeleke who turned three on October 20, 2022 alledgedly fell into his father’s swimming pool in his Banana Island home on Monday, October 31, 2022. It was reported that he was left under the care of maids/house helps before the unfortunate incident occurred. He alledgely spent couple of minutes in the water before he was noticed and rescued. But he was pronounced dead at a hospital after all efforts to revive him failed.
Though Davido is noted to have other children from other Baby mamas, his public show of affection and love for his little boy, Ifeanyi is just incomparable. And this is going to be a great loss for him and will unfortunately truncate the joy and happiness around him on social media since he reunited with his Baby Mama, the mother of the loss son, Chioma.
The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has confirmed that eight of the domestic staff of the singer Davido have been brought in for questioning following the drowning of his son, Ifeanyi. According to him, they were brought inn for questioning and only those found culpable will be arrested for further processes.
Sadly, many celebrities over the years have lost their kids to their swimming pools, including Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo ('Dbanj'), Samuel Kuffour, Granger Smith, among others. The question thereof is how can we save our kids from swimming pools?
