Ooni of Ife and his fourth wife, Olori Folashade, Welcome their first Child, a Boy

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his fourth wife, Olori Folasade, have welcomed their first child, a baby boy.

The monarch shared the good news on his social media handle today. He wrote;

‘’To God be the glory great things he has done. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a Prince from the mother side of Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of Lafogido Ruling House and father side of Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of Giesi Ruling house combined to the Royal throne of Oduduwa.

Mother and child are doing well to the glory of God Almighty and in line with the spirits of our ancestors.''

The Great Ooni of Ife or Ọba Ọjájá II, the “Oduduwa King”, is the traditional ruler and monarch of the Yoruba Kingdom of Ile-Ife. And very prominent King in the world. 

The monarch took Olori Folade as the fourth wife in October 2022. Congrats to them!
