Torgbi Kpemini Gawu V Graces the Outdooring of Torgbi Ashiagbor IV in Anloga


Torgbi Kpemini Gawu V:

After the seven days since they returned from the seashore for the preliminary installation processes in Anloga, and Torgbi Ashiagbor IV was confined and taught some customs and traditions of the Anlos, he was officially outdoored today, Thursday, March 21, 2024.

The ceremony was graced by the Majestic Torgbi Kpemini Gawu V of Anloga-Whuti, who is a Scholar and former lecturer at the University for Development Studies, Ghana. Whose left wing the new Chief belongs.

The outdooring process is very significant because from hence-forth, Torgbi Ashiagbor IV will no longer be called by his private name. And he now officially belongs to the Chieftaincy institution of Anlo and ready for further processes of Sandaling and Gazetting for him to be fully recognized by the Anlo Traditional Council or Anlo Dukor Council and the Republic of Ghana respectively.

In his speech, Torgbi reaffirmed his commitment to listening to the voices of his subjects and advocates for help for the enormous needs of his people. And promised to work together with his people to uplift every individual under his jurisdiction.

He further called on the people of Anloga to be united in order to overcome challenges and build a brighter future for their generation and generations unborn. Torgbi expressed his appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of his installation.


The second swearing of oaths to the new Chief by the three Wings of the Anlo Kingdom also took place. This was led by Torgbi Kpemini Gawu V of Anloga-Whuti representing the left wing, Torgbi Adoblanui II of Woe, representing the right wing and Torgbi Dala Avege III of Deta, representing the middle wing, .

And for the records, no Agbotadua among the Anlos is allowed or permitted to swear an oath to a Chief or assist any other chief to swear an oath to a Chief.


Torgbi Ashiagbor IV was further officially handed over to the leader of the left-Wing present, Torgbi Kpemini Gawu V. Torgbi Ashiagbor was outdoored with his Agbotadua Gudu of Anloga.

The ceremony was chaired by Torgbi Zewu IV, Dufia of Anloga. And in his remarks, he reminded the new chief to help bring jobs to his subjects, particularly from his field of work.


Other dignitaries present were Torgbi Tudoabor III of Anloga, Torgbi Hatsu III of Dzita, Mama Dzotsi IV of Anloga, Mr. Seth Yormewu, the DCE of Anloga, among others. The good people of Anloga and the colleagues of the new chief from the Ghana National Fire Service were also present.
