(G. News): Torgbi Tudoabor III Donates to 9 Public Basic Schools in Anloga, Volta Region

Torgbi Tudoabor III who is a Clan chief of Anloga-Lashibi in the Anloga District of the Volta region of Ghana has donated some exercise books to 9 public Basic schools in the Anloga township. This event took place in his Palace in Anloga on Friday, May 26, 2023.

Torgbi’s donation is to contribute his quota towards resolving the educational challenges bedeviling the schools in his traditional area. And to motivate the students to learn hard and achieve greatness for themselves and the society.

This is the third time Torgbi Tudoabor III is making these donations since he was installed 5 years ago in 2018. He has great interest in the education of the young ones and ready to make more sacrifices to make life better for them.

At this year’s ceremony, he donated about 2000 exercise books from the “Botoza-Tudoabor” Stool of the Anlo Traditional Council in the Volta region of Ghana.

In his speech at the presentation ceremony, Torgbi said the donation is to emphasize their commitment to promoting quality education in the Anloga area in particular. He called on all the stake holders and the entire community to see the education of children and grandchildren as a project worth pursuing for the benefit of all. And make conscious efforts to support education in their communities.

He also pointed to the fact that, data on the general performances of the basic schools in the Anloga area is not so satisfactory. And there is the need for all to take part in correcting this and make Anloga schools to regain their past educational glories. He stressed that the donation is to boost the morale of the students and teachers to work hard and change the narrative for Anloga.

On his part, a retired Principal of Amedzorpe Training College, Mr. J. N. K. Fianu, who is the Stool Father and the chairman of the ceremony, admonished the young pupils to learn hard and stop wasting their valuable time on mobile phones unnecessarily. But rather only use phones if needed for educational purposes, like research or search for educative materials.

Present at the ceremony were Dumega C. K. Galley, Agbotadua Golomeke, a retired educationist, Mr. Atsu Amable, Madam Millicent Ayittey, an officer in-charge of Logistics at the G.E.S. Keta Municipal, Head Teachers and some selected students from the 9 public schools in Anloga area.
