The Anlo State, which is one of the three ancient Kingdoms before Republican constitution in Ghana, has buried one of her illustrious historians, Mr. P. K. M. Ameevor on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Woe in the Anloga District of the Volta Region.
The 86-year-old educationist and author was one of the many people among the Anlos who wrote extensively on the migration of the Ewes from Nortse to their present homes.
Mr. Ameevor loved the culture and traditions of his people and was ready to share his knowledge with the younger generation. He was a regular resource person on Jubilee Radio’s programme, “Apeyifor”, hosted by Mr. John Yao Agbetsiafa.
Chiefs, dignitaries and the good people of Woe and Anlo were present to pay their last respect to him.
Mr. Ameevor left behind his wife, Mrs. Florence Afi Masamaka-Ameevor, 8 children and number of Grandchildren.
