President Akufo-Addo addressed his country Ghana last night, Sunday, May 28, 2023.
In his address, he officially reemphasized the WHO's declaration that COVID-19 no longer represents a global health emergency.
It can be recalled that the World Health Organization first declared the public health emergency of international concern in January 2020.
And Ghana as a country had recorded some cases and deaths, triggering a number of health measures such as vaccinations, testing, and other drastic measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
After a period of three years of the pandemic, in his final address to the nation on the measures in the COVID-19 fight, President Akufo-Addo expressed his gratitude to all who supported the cause during the trying time.
Earlier, the government of Ghana had suspended the use of COVID-19 health declaration form for international travelers to Ghana.
