(Security): A Neighbour’s Pitbull Dog Mutilates to Death 8-year-old boy

 

A tragic story! A Pitbull was reportedly shot dead after it mutilated to death an 8-year-old boy in Vista Park, Bloemfontein, South Africa. This is according to South African Police Service (SPCA) who responded to the scene on Saturday November 12, 2022.

According to Bloemfontein SPCA, the boy was bitten to death in front of the garage in the Bloemfontein residence. The police said due to the unique circumstances, the Pitbull was shot and later passed away due to the injuries inflicted by the firearm.

The other two dogs at the premises were removed by the Bloemfontein SPCA and are now for safekeeping at its premises.

The Police spokesperson, Thabo Covane who narrated the incident said the dog allegedly escaped from its enclosure, jumped over the fence and went to the neighbour’s premises. It then attacked the young boy who was playing alone, biting him severely on the neck and chest.The boy was sadly declared dead at the scene.
