Woman executed on Ring Doorbell Camera as she Checked on a strange noise outside

In a shocking Ring cam moment, a Texas woman was brutally executed on her own doorstep after she stumbled upon two men stealing her car.

Beaumont's Ebonie Gilbert, 39, bravely confronted the car burglars at roughly 8pm last Thursday, September 26, only to be shot point-blank by the fleeing thieves.

The smart camera snatched a glimpse of one villain's face, though it was hidden behind a black mask and white hoodie.

Cops have branded the killing a "brutal, cold-blooded killing".

Chilling reports disclose that Gilbert's lifeless body was found by her mum at around 3pm on Friday, September 27, prompting the heartbroken parent to call the cops and EMS to Bennett Street's 3500 stretch, CBS Affiliate KDFM stated.

Shell casings were spotted at the crime scene by officials, reports the Mirror US.

The concerned mother, having not heard from Gilbert, had decided to check in on her daughter, according to police accounts.

Locals were devastated upon hearing the tragic news of the well-loved woman's death.

"She was a very good person", Tyson Henry, one of Gilbert's neighbours, shared with the press. "She made Christmas for my kids last year, and anything we needed she tried to help us out with.

Henry detailed more grim events, saying: "My wife told me that she heard gunshots, and went on to explain the terror that unfolded as she got the kids and put them on the floor, then realised it was right next door.

"[We're] distraught behind it, and like I said, she was a good person. She took good care of all of us. She helped us out as much as possible and she will be missed."

Neighbour Shana Trent added: "It's really scary because it's like right in our back door. We always hear gunshots and everything, but to know someone got killed over something so senseless just breaks my heart."

In the wake of the gunfire, law enforcement has arrested DCorey Bershard Shillow, 21, as a key figure in their ongoing investigation.

Beaumont police cuffed Shillow after his family member handed him over to the law on Sunday, September 29.

“Rest in peace to Miss Ebonie,” Shillow said as he was corned by cops. "I'm sorry for your loss."

He then denied the k!lling and said he wasn't a "monster".
