(Security): Terrorists demand N40m Ransom to free 20 Children Kidnapped in Nigeria

Terrorists who kidnapped 20 children at Kusherki, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, Nigeria, are now demanding N40 million as a ransom for the release of this children.

The unfortunate part is, the victims, made up of 4 boys and 16 girls are just between the ages of 4 and 10 years. They were kidnapped about three weeks ago and nothing is heard from them except the demand for the ransom.

One opinion leader of the community named, Alhaji Auwal Usman, explained that the bandits are now asking for N40m before they release the children who are being made to undergo difficult situations at the hands of these heartless terrorists.

He therefore, called for increased efforts by the state government and other relevant stakeholders to ensure they are rescued unhurt.

In his reaction, the Commissioner of Internal Security and Humanitarian Affairs, Mr. Emmanuel Bagna Umar, gave assurances of the state government’s commitment to rid the state of all forms of crimes. He stated that all hands are on deck to rescue the children alive and unharmed.
