(Crime): An 8-year-old Girl Kidnapped from a Car Seat

Kidnapping is becoming rampant in Africa. And this morning, Cape Town police are desperately trying to track down suspects involved in a kidnapping on Friday, November 4, 2022 after an eight-year-old girl, Abirah Dehkta was snatched from the vehicle she was travelling in.

Details of the incident remain sketchy at this point. However, an eyewitness narrates that an alarm was raised instantly, after the driver was accosted by some men and the young girl kidnapped.

1. It is clear that Abirah Dehkta was snatched from a car seat on Friday morning, in the Athlone region of Cape Town.

2. The vehicle was in Amber Court, and the girl was on her way to school when she was then kidnapped.

3. Some men reportedly held-up the driver at gunpoint, taking the eight-year-old with them.

4. And the suspects allegedly sped off in a white, double-cab bakkie.

An eyewitness claimed that the driver was also forced to hand over his possessions, including a mobile phone. The police is tight lip for now on any information on the operation to find Abirah.
