Torgbi Amey Zegu II & Torgbi Tudoabor III Commission a Newly Built Bus Stop for Kome, Anloga District



The Alakple Management Council led by Torgbi Amey Zegu II and Mama Nyiawovape I, together with Torgbi Tudoabor III of Anloga have commissioned a newly built bus stop for the good people of Kome in the Anloga District of the the Volta region. This ceremony took place today, Friday, April 18, 2025, at Kome junction.

The project was sponsored and donated by the Mina Miwoe Association Anloga, which is a not-for-profit Organization that was established 20 years ago to show love and care for humanity and to instil the spirit of giving freely to the poor and the vulnerable in and around the Anloga and Keta Municipals and the Volta Region as a whole.


The project which is estimated to have cost about Ghs30,000, was built within a pace of four months. And the commissioning forms part of the programme line-up for the Easter celebration by the good and industrious people of Alakple in particular and Kome in general.

Torgbi Amey Zegu II in his brief remarks, expressed his excitement for the project and grateful for the support that Torgbi Tudoabor III always gives to the Alakple community. And promised to take good care of the bus stop for the benefit of his people.

On his part, Torgbi Tudoabor III also pointed out that the day is a very great one as it solidified the relationship between Anloga and Alakple as their children from Anloga have made this great donation to the people of Alakple. He reiterated the importance of the bus stop as it will help the traders and others during their travelling. He encouraged the members of the Mina Miwoe Association to continue their good works and become a very viable group.


The ceremony was graced by Torgbi Amey Zegu II, Dufia of Alakple, Torgbi Tudoabor III of Anloga, Mama Nyuiawovape I, Agbotadua Golomeke, the Presiding member of Anloga District Assembly, Hon. Joseph Kpatah, the members of Alakple Management Council and the members of Mina Miwoe Association Anloga.


Hon. Joseph Kpatah, the Presiding Member of the Anloga District Assembly, expressed his appreciation for the good gesture and encouraged the members of Mina Miwoe Association to keep up their good works. And promised that he will work with other Assembly members for the Association to grow and progress.

The PRO/Convenor of the Mina Miwoe Association, Mr. John Yao Agbetsiafa was full of joy for a successful ceremony and called on the general public to partner with their Association in other to provide for the poor and vulnerable in their communities.


Saturday, April 19, 2025, is the grand Durbar of Chiefs and Queens of Alakple for the Easter festival celebration. Alakple is a great town that is admired by other towns and villages of the 36 States of Anlo and beyond.
