Mr. Gabriel Kwamigah Wins the Council of State Election in the Volta Region with 24 votes


The illustrious and committed son of the Volta Region, Mr. Gabriel Kwabla Tanko Kwamigah has won the Council of State election in the Volta Region. He had 24 votes out of the Total vote cast of 36.

His closest contender Mr. Azi Ganyo had 5 votes, Dr. David Kofi had 4, Felix Lartey 2 and the other 9 contenders had zero.

Mr. Kwamigah, who is the CEO of Sesi-Edem Company Limited, a licensed and regulated gold mining business committed to responsible and eco-friendly practices, brings on board a great experience and expertise to contribute towards the success of the President John Mahama’s Administration.

His company excels in the global export of high -quality gold dore bars. And as an entrepreneur, he is always ready to provide employment and support for individuals and organizations in the region in particular and the Country as a whole.

He is also one of the “Bank-rollers” of the NDC party in the Volta region and through his foundation, Tanko foundation, he touched many lives in the region and beyond. The people of the Volta region are so thrilled by his victory and made the pledge to support him throughout the four-year period.

Mr. Kwamigah is currently pursuing his Doctoral studies for Public Policy and Administration at Cavalla International University in the United States of America.

He holds an International Executive MBA in Project Management from the Paris Graduate School of Management. An International Certificate in Public Private Partnership in Kenya. And was a product of the University of Ghana, Legon with a BA in Sociology and History.

With his vast experience, competency and exposure, Mr. Kwamigah will make the Volta region proud in his current capacity as the member of the Council of State elect from the Volta region.
