Former Speaker of Parliament and Defence Minister of South Africa Corruption case Postponed to 28 March


The corruption case of former Speaker of Parliament and Defence Minister of South Africa, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula has been postponed until 28 March 2025.

OneForumNews1 understands that an agreement has been reached with the state to disclose Section B and C of Mapisa-Nqakula’s docket.

This follows Mapisa-Nqakula’s application that Section B and C which deal with the correspondence and the investigation diary must be disclosed.

Mapisa-Nqakula is facing 12 counts of corruption and one of money laundering in alleged bribery case that occurred during her tenure as Defence Minister.

Both parties will meet in less than a month’s time to discuss any other outstanding issues.

“They’ve agreed to sit in a round table within a period of three weeks to sort out the issues, and if there is no agreement between them, then we’ll hear this application again,” says Judge Aubrey Ledwaba.
