From Ghana, the Wife of the late Major Courage Quashigah and the National Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme, Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah has died on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
Mrs. Quashigah was born on February 1, 1960, in Dzelukope, Keta, in the Volta Region. She held the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Ambar Quality Foods Limited and was a prominent figure in the field of hospitality and made significant contributions to the Ghanaian food industry.
She was the wife of the late Major Courage E. K Quashigah (Rtd), a former Minister in the erstwhile Kufuor administration.
Mrs. Quashigah was a product of Keta Secondary Senior High School and pursued advanced studies in catering and hospitality.
During her tenure, the Ghana School Feeding Programme achieved remarkable success in providing widespread access to nutritious meals for children nationwide. Ghana and the NPP have lost a great woman.
