(Crime): Ghana Police Investigate the Strange Death of Asante Bekwai MCE’s Daughter

 

The police in Ghana are looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of Kwaku Kyei Baffuor's daughter in Atwima Bebu in the Ashanti region. She was the daughter of the Municipal Chief Executive of Asante Bekwai.

After her husband discovered her unresponsive at 5:30 pm on Thursday, August 3, 2023, Akua Serwaa Kyei, 31, a nursing trainee awaiting posting, was pronounced dead at the hospital.  

Despite the lack of details surrounding the occurrence, authorities claim that when her husband arrived home on August 3, 2023, he discovered the unconscious victim near the back of their home. He also claimed that a television set was stolen and that their living room and bedroom were broken into.

However, a preliminary examination of the scene by the Police Crime Scene team showed that neither the house's doors nor windows had been broken into.

According to authorities, an examination of the deceased's body at the hospital revealed no signs of violence or a gunshot wound.

The body was placed in the mortuary for preservation and an autopsy while further investigations are underway.
