In Ghana, a police officer serving as an escort for a bullion van was shot and killed, on Thurday, June 22, 2023, in the afternoon by armed robbers in a suburd of the Greater Accra region.
The authorities of the Police Service said they have started a search for a gang of four robbers who attacked the bullion van.
This was one of the numerous times that police personnel were killed in a bullion van robberies. And though some form of measures were recommended, not all the institutions are complying.
The sad death today will resurrect the discussion of how safe bullion vans in Ghana are.
